Terrassenmeister® Patio Screw A2 / A4
ferax® Patio Screw in A4 quality enables long-term corrosion-resistant screw fittings especially for tropical hardwoods such as Bangkirai, Masaranduba, Ipé, Garappa, Red Cedar, etc.
It is ideally suited for use in seaside areas, boat landings, swimming pool areas or patio building.
ferax® Patio Screw A4 safeguards against corrosion in particular for tropical hardwoods with extreme density and against the influence of tannic acids on the woods.
ferax® Patio Screws in A4 quality are considerably harder than for example A2 screws and can take higher tension loads (screwing in or out).
ferax® Patio Screws in A2 quality are well suited for all regional types of wood such as Douglas fir, larch etc. The small head diameter of 8 mm provides an attractive appearance. We recommend our special drill + bit holder.

Terrassenmeister® Patio Screw Copper
Patio Screw Copper for patio floorboards in exotic woods such as thermo-wood.
For these woods we offer you a new special screw in A4 stainless steel with a special copper-colour finish coat. With this coating the small screw heads are less conspicuous in the installed planking. The visual appearance of the screw is perfectly suited to all exotic woods and to thermos-wood and is available in in 3 sizes:
• 5.5 x 50 mm
• 5.5 x 60 mm
• 5.5 x 70 mm
In general the floorboards are pre-drilled Ø 5 mm and countersunk. Here we recommend our
Special Drill, with countersink and integrated adjustment ring (Item No. 700 050 080).

A4 Drill Screw for patio floorboards on a steel subframe
For all woods, without predrilling the wood or steel – self-drilling from 2mm to 6 mm steel thickness,
not suitable for aluminium substructures
Advantages:
• Considerable time reduction (no predrilling of wood and steel)
• The special coating prevents seizure in the wood
• A4 quality resistant against tannic acids, seawater and weather influences
• High expansibility
Recommendations for use:
We recommend a screw drill with a depth stop or slip clutch (torque). Screw into the wood at slow speed, into the steel at higher speed. Determine the optimum screw-in depth with stop or torque. For back ventilation between boards and steel structure we recommend Terrassenmeister Spacer (with 4 mm or 7 mm bolts) Art. No. 700 999 100 or 700 999 104.
