End-Grain Sealant. Special sealant for softwoods and hardwoods
ferax®-End-Grain Sealant prevents the end grain of patio boards from drying out too quickly from the outside edge and in this way reduces heavy shrinkage and subsequent crack formation.
ferax®-End-Grain Sealant also prevents “bleeding” of oils and tannic acids in tropical woods. It is easy to use, dries quickly and is characterized by high weather and UV resistance.
Note: Hardened end-grain sealants can only be removed mechanically.
Technical Information:
• Temperature resistance: –30°C to +90°C
• Skin-forming time: ca. 7 min. (at +23°C and 50% relative humidity)
• silicone-free, paintable
• can also be used on damp wood
• Total permissible deformation: ± 20%
• 3 colours: Bangkirai, Douglas fir / larch, plywood / thermo-wood
• Plastic spatula 15 cm included in delivery
• Storage: cool and dry, min. 18 months
Scope of Applications:
Ideally suitable for end-grain sealing of patio boards (hardwood and softwood), balconies, carports, pergolas, wooden fences etc. Especially also for plywood / vehicle plates.
